The Downhill Ski Club is an Incorporated Society which was founded in 1963.  Our members are a mix of families and singles that enjoy the outdoor activities available in National Park such as hiking, biking, skiing and snowboarding.

We provide members with the option of staying at either the Ruapehu Lodge on the Whakapapa ski field during the ski season or the National Park Lodge all year round.

Our aim is to provide family friendly accommodation at an affordable price.

Facilities

Both lodges have comfortable facilities including bedrooms rather than dormitories, lounges with wood burners, large kitchens, drying rooms and ski work benches

National Park Lodge The National Park Lodge gives members the option to ski or board at either Whakapapa (17Km) or Turoa (54Km). The lodge offers accommodation from $17 per day including breakfast. For more information, check out our "National Park Lodge" page.
Ruapehu Lodge The mountain lodge approximately 1800m above sea level and provides true ski in, ski out, alpine living. A cook in the high season and school holidays provides three cooked meals a day.
