I went down Friday 14th, Stayed NP and then up to the Mountain lodge on Saturday night. Weather on Saturday was okay (bit flat) and it rained Sunday - Why does it always rain on Sunday!!.

My family and friends really enjoyed the stay at the ski club. Thank you so much for the warm welcome and great advise on how to ski and what to do if the weather is bad outside ;-) Shame the Sunday was a really wet day, but Saturday was awesome - we all had a fantastic time after all. Keep up a great work.

Have spent the last few weekends up at the Top Lodge. Great to see so many people up there, both mid-week and on the weekends as this is such a great facility for members and non-members alike.

I went Sat 4th August 07. Got National chair in twice after returning to car for more gear. On second trip found the mountain was closing. Just the one ski out the home run on Saturday.

On Sunday and Monday we got more food from cars and skied the Rock Garden which was the only thing open. We skied and walked our way back to the lodge. Tuesday first thing we decided to go home as the forecast was snow all week. Grant Allan and I had a few runs on the Rock Garden and the Waterfall Chair after lunch. It had heap of soft new powder snow.

Around 2:30 we left as a heavy snow shower and bad light came in. It took a while to clear the car of snow. The Forester was buried axle deep, deeper at the rear. It managed to get on top of the snow and drive out without any digging.

Still no cable on the Far West.

Sarah and I went down for skiing Thursday 12th Through Saturday 14th July. Thursday opened 11:15Am after high winds. The previous days' storm saw many cars with broken windows from flying rocks! Thursday had the rock garden open. Friday had all except Knoll ridge and far west Ts which don't have cables on yet. It was first day West Ridge ran. We checked on the lodge which was undamaged and skied out the home run. Saturday was another perfect day.

Was up the mountain lodge when the tephra dam finally gave way. We were participating in the final working bee of the season when we got word – what a great place to be when it went, was a real buzz knowing what was happening just up the hill!

Was a very successful working bee despite the appalling weather conditions – great to have so many dedicated members up the mountain doing their bit to get the lodge ship-shape for the 2007 Season, thanks heaps to everyone that participated – Cheers, Dion/Club Captain.

Great to see such a great bunch of intrepid hikers staying at the National Park Lodge to do the Tongariro Crossing on Saturday 03 March – it is such a great walk with so much too see, even for me on my third time. We had a great mix of members and non members and I hope to see you all next year when we do a Crater Walk from our Mountain lodge!

Finally back after a few weeks away from the mountain (too many commitments!). Grant, myself, Paul & Yuko skied what we could on Saturday but the weather was just not playing nice for us so we decided to head over to the top lodge around mid-day for lunch.
Grant got itchy feet after lunch and got a few more runs in but the balance of us just chilled out in the lodge. We skied out around 10am on Sunday at which time only the lower mountain was open, but to everyone’s delight by the time we got to the bottom the Express chair and Waterfall T had opened and of course there were not too many people – yet again, you just had to be there!
