Labour weekend, October 23 to 25. Skied Saturday, a fine day with some cloud in the afternoon. Took Sarah up the Far West T bar for the first time. Sunday it rained all day. Monday wet still in Nat. Park but Whakapapa was above the clouds. Snow very soft due to rain. About 1pm it started raining. Skied 2 runs in the rain then left.

Three beautiful Days skiing from the 01st to the 03rd October - Spent two nights in National Park and One on the Mountain. Sat out front the upper club on Saturday night and watched the fireworks with a glass of wine - brilliant, what a way to relax after a hard day skiing!

This is for Mike's benefit!! Went to the mountain club 30th Aug to 3 Sept. The skiing was superb, but the weather turned sour 1st Sept but it's looking good for this week 9th to the 9th Sept. I'll be thinking of you, where are you all when the weather's perfect.

Went down with the family for the mid winter Christmas party. Thank God Jim Crooks brought some party hats. Must organise a tree and presies next year.
Got some skiing on Saturday. The snow was crusty in the morning and there were white out patches. After lunch was better. There were snow showers around lunch. Another snow shower at 3pm sent the bulk of skiers running off home early. Then the snow stopped, the sun came out and we had no queues for the last hour on fresh snow! Fantastic. Sunday was windy an we walked out. Click on the link above for photos.

Four of us went down for weekend 2/7 to 5/7. Turoa was closed due to high winds and Whakapapa only had lower lifts open to start. Despite this all Turoa's punters came around so the queues were huge. Around 11am the National chair opened and the West Ridge Quad. Big queues but good weather.
Sunday saw fine weather both sides so queues were better. A fantastic day. See my website link for photos.

Hi - I am a new member of the club but work is keeping me away from the mountain far too much and I am yet to properly utilise my membership. Would love to get down there from AKL next Saturday or Sunday (31st Jul or 1st Aug) and stay until Tuesday, only problem is I don't have any wheels to speak of. However I can help to pay for petrol and keep my travelling companions awake. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
