It has been fairly busy at the National Park Club over the last couple of weeks. It is great see some new faces and also familiar ones.
I must tell those of you who are holding back going down because of the lack of snow….It is your loss!!! :-)
There might not be as much snow as last year but most of the facilities are running now and there is some great skiing to be had by all.
The rock garden is truly fantastic this year with the snow guns operating to full potential. Totally unrecognisable.
The Valley, Knoll Ridge and the Waterfall T-bars are all working and have plenty of snow.
Interesting new tracks groomed this year because of the amount of snow. They are working on the Far West T-bar also.
Turoa has the High Noon, High Flyer and the Jumbo going with plenty of snow. The Giant is a little marginal right at the bottom
with a few rocks showing through.
I believe the Half Pipe has been opened this week also.
Skiing these last 2 weekends has been fantastic, as so many people has stayed at home and the slopes are very empty,
no queues at all - up, down and straight on the lift.
You have got to try it for yourselves …. And take my word for it, it is worth it
Mid Winter X-Mas Party
We are still on track for the Ruapehu club to open on the 16th August.
The National Chair Lift has been booked for Saturday morning so why not join us for the Christmas Party
and give us a hand in the morning to get the supplies (and your own luggage) up.
Don't forget your Santa hat and a festive spirit. Contact Adie to book yourselves in.
If you want to know more about helping with the supplies and the lift contact Grant McTavish.
The X-mas Party menu I am told is looking exciting, but it is being kept under tight wraps.
You will have to come and see for yourselves
Bookings
The weekends are almost booked out for the busy period, so get in quick if you don't want to miss out.
There are still plenty of room mid week
