Whakapapa Lodge

The Whakapapa lodge, or Ruapehu lodge, is near the top of the National Downhill Chairlift. From the lodge it is a 6 minute walk to the West Ridge chairlift. Live in the snow.

Enjoy the spectacular views including mount Ngauruhoe and mount Tongariro from the lounge.

The lounge has comfortable couches and a powerful fireplace that copes with the coldest weather. The TV has freeview which is only used to watch the weather as the games room has a large TV. You can plug in your camera to show off your photos and videos.

There is a games room with table tennis, freeview TV, PS2 and a pool table. You are welcome to bring your PS2 games, sing star, guitar hero, band hero, etc. Don´t forget your memory card. You can play DVD movies on the PS2.

The dining area is useful for playing board games and card games also.
